Customers who placed orders for multiple items, will sometimes simply request a total from the seller. (Not knowing they can also checkout themselves at any time)

On the eBay invoice page;
Simply check that there is a postage price

If the customer has purchased a lot of items/QTY (over 10). Give them a postage discount, of ~25% (of the postage amount)

Customers who placed orders for multiple items, will sometimes ask for a extra postage discount.

If a customer asks for an extra discount, give them something. If the value of the order is over $50, give an extra ~10% post discount, over $100 ~25% post discount. Over $500, ~30% post discount.

Sometimes customer write to say that "no discount" is applied to their multiple item purchases (for all Australia wide postage items). If a customer is asking for a new invoice because they think the discounts are not applied. Check the invoice to see that they are applied, and them inform the customer to: (check for a "discount" on their eBay checkout page, displayed in "green" text).
